New Year's Surprise

Last Thursday, Master had a twinkle in his eyes when he announced that we would be taking a special trip for New Year's, though he wouldn't say where we were going!

Master's fleet of transportation choices are all very comfortable.  In this case, we were in one of my favorites, a custom-built Gulfstream.  The interior is earth tones, with buttery soft beige leather upholstery and thick carpet throughout.  It has areas for sleeping, dining and relaxing, along with power ports to keep Master's communication devices powered up and ready for use.

It was a long and smooth flight.  We both enjoyed the quiet time together.  Looking out the windows over the ocean, we could often spot pods of whales of different types as they fed or swam to new locations.  When the pilot announced that we should prepare for landing, I spotted the distinctive shape of the Sydney Opera House, in Sydney Australia!

We deplaned, and were whisked through customs.  It was dusk as we boarded a yacht, and sailed out into the harbor.  The captain selected an ideal spot with a great view of the bridge and the Opera House.  Master and i had dinner and danced until the fireworks began.  Standing together, each with an arm around the other, we watched the incredible display of fireworks light up over the harbor, casting shadowed color on the Opera House as well as turning the sky into a kaleidescope of color and patterns.  It was magnificent!

We spent the night on the yacht, creating and enjoying our own equally magnificent fireworks, then headed in to port the next morning to explore Sydney!  Museums, pubs, restaurants, shopping, landmarks, scuba diving and lots of friendly people to talk with made the day fly.  The next morning, Master announced that we would be spending this week in Australia!  He rented a car and off we went!  Being that Master has been to Australia before, he has many amazing and interesting sights to show me!

Though we won't be able to cover the entire country in a week, we'll see some parts of it, and i have no doubt that we'll return in the future to see even more!
